Eye Health Improvement Through Simple Exercise

By Michael Hawkins The human body has some impressive self healing features built in. Regardless of how your body is hurt or worn, it will always do it's best to heal itself. This inbuilt system can be worked upon by eating correctly, exercising etc. A part of our body that we are very dependent on, without getting very much attention, are our eyes. Their health too can be improved by proper use and regular exercise. Since we use our eye all day long, we seldom stop to think that we would need to DO something with them in order to keep them in great shape. We recognize that most aspects of our physique can be imrpoved upon through training, yet most of us totally neglect the importance of our eyes strenght. From our first day at school throughout our life as grown ups we get to do close vision work like reading and eying computer monitors. Then in our spare time we repeat by doing many similar tasks - reading books, watching television and playing video games. Our eyes are constantly worn and looking at some nearby objects almost all the time. This is a problem, because our eyes are not too well equiped to constantly focus on something right in front of our noses - or in other words, we use hard vision using mostly the center of our vision. A stone-age human being, whose biological and genetic composition would be very similar to our own, would probably have spent the better part of the day using soft, or peripheral vision, looking into the distance and viewing birds, trees, mountains, cloud formations, stars, animals to hunt etc. It can be hard to compare yourself to people in the stone age, but physiologically it is a valid comparison. In contemporary society we can naturally not be expected to live and act like people of the stone-age, but it is still factual that lots of close vision work like reading, if done incorrectly, over time greatly reduces our ability to see distant objects. Now wonder then that nearsightedness, or myopia, have become more of a rule than an exception. Most people just accept this condition as the inevitable process of aging, and think that it can only be remedied by wearing corrective lenses or undergoing laser surgery. Both of which are quite expensive remedies. However, as was already hinted, many common vision problems are to some extent self inflicted. And the damage caused by of various close vision activities could be greatly reduced by reeducating the way you use your eyes. Furthermore, conditions like nearsightedness can actually be reversed by regularly performing some very straightforward exercises that involves relaxing the eyes and re-training them to focus on object further away. Our eyesight is one of our absolutely crucial senses - without it our life would drastically change - so wouldn't you say it is about time we started showing our eyes the same consideration we give some of the cosmetically appealing parts of our body? Take charge and do something for your eyes today. Michael Hawkins has managed to significantly improve his own nearsightedness by doing eye exercises. Read more about the process in his blog about eye health. Encouraging Spiritually-Fit Businesses

By Frederica Saylor For more than 25 years, Nancy Mramor has used a mind-body-spirit approach to health psychology and psychotherapy in her private practice and training. Voted one of western Pennsylvanias most successful women in 1997, she has developed programs to teach relaxation, meditation and yoga to help people open up spiritually. Mramors upcoming book about spiritually fit businesses examines the health of business owners, employees, vendors, customers and clients. She recently spoke with Science & Theology News Frederica Saylor to explain how all aspects of a business work together to create a spiritually fit workplace. Q: How do you define spirituality? A: I define spirituality as an energy that we all have within us. The spirit is the energy of the person, its the inspiration, the vitality. If you look at the meaning of words like chi and prana, they translate to life, breath, vitality and energy. Thats the way I look at it. Q: What do you mean by the spiritually fit business? A: The spiritually fit business is sort of a reflection of the owner. We look at the business as a mirror of the person to see whats going on with them spiritually, and we look at ways to open up the energy of the space in the same way that we look at the spiritual health of the person. We look at things, for example, like the doorways and where theyre located, and is that inviting to do business? So we look at a building in very much the same way that we look at a person. Q: Who might have a more difficult time integrating spiritual techniques? A: When you get people whose lives and ways of being and businesses are extremely structured and finite. Sometimes people whose jobs require extreme precision, like attorneys and accountants, dont always take the spiritual/emotional side of things into account. Q: Why is integrating spirituality important on a cultural level? A: Every living being has a spirit, and at all times we are either moving with or against the energy of our spirit. If youre totally unaware of how that energy moves, youre just not going to be as effective in your life and in your work. Youre not going to be tuned into your inspiration. Business becomes more productive by tuning in, being aware. Q: Has there ever been a point where religion prevented a business from being successful? A: Religions are associated, at times, with guilt. I think when people go against their own religious belief system or religious culture and try to fit into Western culture there can be a sense of guilt that interferes with their belief in themselves. When that shuts down, when you dont believe that youre worthy of success, then certainly youre going to have problems. This can come from buying into the values of the business and selling out on the values of your spiritual belief system. Q: What fields could these concepts most affect? A: It has an impact very easily in education. I just completed teaching a graduate course at Point Park University, and the students really appreciated learning how to do stress management, deep breathing and yoga. They could see what a huge difference it made even in them as they took the course. The next one is medicine. In my work in the hospitals, Ive found that people who, for example, have heart problems were not being educated about the effects of breathing and opening up your spiritual energy and the benefit that has in healing the body and healing the heart condition. I think bringing it into the whole area of medicine is critical. I think the last holdout is the corporate world because theyve not been directed in this sort of a way as much as educational institutions. Stephen Covey published a book called The 8th Habit, which is really a book about the spirit of a business and of a person, so I think its starting. How To Get The Fresh Juices You Need

By Kevin Pederson Taking juices may be compared to eating a balanced diet. No one would contemplate trying to live on one single foodstuff. In the same way, most Juices tend to work better in combination than alone. The values of one will complement the deficiencies of another. The very best raw materials should always be used. There is nothing to beat freshly gathered produce from your own organically cultivated garden. But for many crops and for most people, that is not possible. The next best is to buy good looking, fresh fruit and vegetables from the local supplier. Take care to always wash bought produce with clean, flowing water in case there is any contamination. As soon as a plant is picked, the nutrient value begins to diminish. Canning and bottling both involve cooking which further reduces the vitamin and mineral content some of which also leaks out into water (that is why you should always try to cook with as little water as possible and to use any left over as a basis for soup, gravy or sauce). Drying foods will of course make them impossible to juice as well as reducing the nutrients. The only answer is to store high quality materials in a deep freeze. Although there is still a loss, it is not as serious as in other methods of conservation. You may also freeze the actual juice. How much juice should you take? Some are powerful, and are usually taken in combination with the basics such as carrot juice. Less than pint a day is unlikely to be effective. So the rule to adopt is: FROM ONE TO EIGHT PINTS OF JUICE A DAY, BUT NEVER MORE THAN IS COMFORTABLE. It is not always true to say that the more juice the quicker the result, but there is certainly not much benefit to be derived from consuming juice in too small an amount or for a period of less than a month. An experienced practitioner can achieve his results with more or less juices than are recommended here, but he has the benefit of contact with the patient. Kevin Pederson has been managing a number of natural home remedies websites which have information on all the natural and home made remedies and providing knowledge about juices and how to get the best of it. Going in for the Goodnight Kiss

By Ron Zvagelsky When should you go in for the goodnight kiss? Nobody wants to be rejected. So how do you know when it's alright to go in for the first goodnight kiss? Well that's a very difficult call to make since every woman/man is different. As a male, I will tackle this topic from the perspective of the man. Body language is a great way to tell if they're into you. Lets begin by looking at some of the things women do that show they're interested during the conversation:
Playing with and/or twirling hair (this is a tough one and can be confused with a simple case of OCD) Raising their shoulders straight up and leaning towards you Hands are open with her palms facing up and outwards Lots of giggling
You know she's interterested...now what? It's time to go in for a kiss. Since she's in to you, there will be many opportunities throughout the night to make your move. If you wait until the last minute and hesitate (at the door or end of the date), you pretty much lost your chance. So be on the safe side and try to do it about midway through the date. So what if you're not sure? Just go for it! What's the worst that can happen...they say no? You have everything to gain and nothing to lose; you'll probably never see them again anyways. Here are three different approaches to the goodnight kiss:
Silent: Making eye contact and then leaning in about 90% of the way Polite: Asking them if it's alright to give them a kiss Brave: Telling them that they have nice lips and asking if you could kiss them
So you chicken out...now what? Nothing. Opportunities come and go...it really comes down to the person and how they choose to handle the situation. Some people can care less, while others take it harder. But the worst is when you regret not going in for the kiss when you know you should have. It happens to us all...we meet someone we really hit it off with or maybe a friend we always had the biggest crush on but never the nerve to let them know. Before you know it they're gone; it's like clockwork, they either meet someone or move across the country. And in the end all you're left with are those two dreaded words, what if? Burn Fat in 15 Minutes

By Ted Frazer Stoking the furnace Look at the cover of any lifestyle magazine today and the chances are that the two words burning fat will appear in some form or another. Its an obsession. Even those who dont necessarily have a weight problem are drawn to articles that discuss fat burning and new strategies to do so more effectively. Fat more specifically, body fat has become a topic of increasing debate over the past 10, 20, 30 perhaps even 40 years, and today more than ever, we are constantly trying to find new and effective ways to burn fat off our bodies. Fat is usually burnt off through exercise. There are also dietary approaches that claim to put the body into a fat-burning state, but generally, the term burning is more readily associated with exercise. There have been many analogies used to define how body fat is burned off one such analogy being to liken the bodys metabolic system to a furnace that needs to be stoked to increase its fat burning efficiency. This analogy implies that fat is burnt during a particular exercise activity whilst the activity is being performed. This analogy has also fuelled other theories and mindsets, such as the longer the duration of an exercise activity the more fat will be burned off i.e. the Ill-just-run a-few-more-miles-to-burn-off the-extra-slice-of-cake way of thinking. Unfortunately, this eat more/exercise more approach can spiral out of control with exercise becoming just a means to an end almost creating a situation that can be seen as exercise bulimia. This approach not only also leads to potential overtraining injuries, but is extremely time consuming, with some people exercising up to several hours a day to ensure that they continue to burn fat. There is a far more sensible approach to burning fatone that not only is far less time consuming, but also burns fat whilst at rest.long after the exercise session is finished. Burning fat From 10%-90% As mentioned earlier, the traditional fat burning mindset is that body fat is burnt whilst performing a particular exercise activity (the preferred exercise activity usually being aerobic or cardio type exercise). However, even if an exercise activity is performed for 2 hours (e.g. 2 hours on the stationery bike) which is a considerable amount of time this still only represents just under 10% of the day. Also, with most aerobic type activity, the metabolic rate returns to normal just 1 hour after the exercise session is completed (the metabolism or metabolic rate being the single most important aspect that affects fat burning). Surely it would be better to be able to burn fat for 70%-90% of the day? To somehow keep the metabolic rate elevated for as long as possible to ensure that fat was burnt long after the exercise session had finished? Metabolism and Muscle If you want to burn fat, you need muscle its that simple. The more muscle, the more fat is burnt.whilst exercising and whilst at rest. Now this does not mean that you need to become a competitive bodybuilder, or even become musclebound. But it does mean that you should consider reducing the cardio sessions and increasing or adding resistance training sessions to condition your muscles. To put it in perspective, for every pound of muscle, the body requires an extra 60-100 calories a day to maintain it at rest! Also, resistance workouts keep the bodys metabolic rate elevated for up to 15 hours after the exercise session is completed (assuming that the workout is relatively intense). Also, endurance cardio training makes muscles smaller, which means a less efficient fat-burning furnace in the long-term. So now that we know that better conditioned and stronger muscles increase the bodys metabolic rate which in turn leads to more efficient fat burning, how do we do this in 15 minutes? Fat Burning in 15 Minutes Please note the following: This exercise approach is very intense. If you are not used to exercise or exercising with resistance, then you should begin the routine with very light weights at first and take a 2-3 minute rest between each exercise. As you become fitter and stronger, you may gradually increase the weight and also gradually reduce the time between each exercise. The following 2 routines are toughvery tough. There are several aspects that make this routine effective: 1) Each exercise uses several muscle groups thus placing a higher energy demand on the body
2) Each exercise focuses on larger muscles by using larger muscles, we also place higher energy demands on the body
3) The level of resistance required places 90-100% demand on each group of muscles (NB: beginners/intermediates must use lighter weight)
4) There is minimal ideally zero - rest between sets creating a massive cardio and fat-burning effect that literally fries calories
5) Both routines are brief and should not take longer than 15 minutes The Metabolism Stoking Fat-Frying Routine For each exercise of the following 2 routines, select a resistance load that allows you to complete no more than 10-12 smooth repetitions. If you can perform a 13th repetition, then the weight is too light (NB: Beginners & Intermediates to select a light weight and progress gradually). Also, keep rest between each exercise as short as possible (ideally run to next exercise and start as soon as possible). Again, beginners & intermediates take longer rest periods between sets. Routine 1: Squats
Dumbbell Pullovers
Stiff-legged deadlift
Squats
Bench Press
Chins or Pulldowns
Bench Press
Barbell Curls
Shoulder Press Routine 2: Squats
Bench Press
Chins or Pulldowns Repeat above 3 exercises 3 times with no rest between all 9 sets Author Info: Ted Frazer has been dedicated to the weight loss and Wellness Revolution for 20 years. Wedding Flowers - Choosing Flowers For Your Wedding Day

By Fay Chamoun A wedding is one of the most important occasions in a person's life. A wedding would just not be the same without flowers. Every bride wants her wedding to be memorable. The flowers provide the finishing touch to this very special day. The flowers can be simple or elaborate depending on the type of wedding that is being planned. Individuality The flowers for a wedding should have a look of individuality. They should look as if they have all been specially created for the bride. What will suit one bride will not automatically suit another. The style of dress, the height of the girl, the overall theme of the wedding should all have a bearing on the choice of the flowers. Bridal Bouquets There are various styles of bouquets. These include round, trailer, sheaf, crescent, line and cascade bouquets. Round bouquets made of roses are a popular choice for many brides. Large trailing bouquets particularly suit romantic style wedding gowns. An elegant line bouquet of lilies would be a good choice for a slim fitting gown. A modern style bouquet made of exotic flowers and tropical foliage will suit the contemporary bride. The brides flowers should be the largest most spectacular bouquet in the wedding party - after all it is her special day! White is still traditionally the most popular colour for the brides bouquet but many different colours are used in weddings today for the bride and bridesmaids from soft pastels such as pale pink through to rich vibrant colours such as hot pink, burgundy and violet. Pearls and crystals can be incorporated into bouquets for a touch of added glamour. For a delicate touch sheer organza ribbon can be used to create ribbon bows and long streamers. Wide satin ribbon will give a rich luxurious look. Bridesmaids Flowers The bridesmaids flowers can be a smaller version of the brides flowers or a different shape. If the bride is carrying a trailer bouquet the bridesmaids could carry round bouquets. The bouquets can be the same colour as the brides bouquet or a different colour. For something different the bridesmaids could carry elegant evening bags filled with flowers. The bag would need to be lined with a piece of plastic to prevent staining the inside of the bag. A piece of soaked florist foam can be placed in the bag and the flowers and foliage arranged in the foam to extend gracefully from the top of the bag. Flower Girl A flower girl could carry a small basket of flowers to match the bridesmaids flowers. the basket can be sprayed white or a pastel shade. Another alternative is to attach a spray of flowers to a piece of ribbon and tie it around the flower girls wrist, tying the ribbon ends in a bow with long ends. This is particularly suitable for a very young flower girl who may find a basket awkward to carry. Buttonholes The bridegroom and groomsmen wear a buttonhole which often consists of a single flower such as a rose or a carnation or another flower the same type as used in the brides bouquet. Corsages The mothers of the bride and groom wear corsages. Often grandmothers and special aunts also wear corsages. It is helpful to know the colour of their dresses so colours will not clash. White or cream is always a safe choice. Flowers really do provide the finishing touch to a wedding! By choosing flowers in a style and colour to complement your wedding theme it will give you wonderful memories to treasure for a lifetime. Fay Chamoun(c) Copyright 2004. All rights reserved. No Fax Payday Loans Online For A Fast Cash Advance Loan - Comparing Online Lenders

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carrie_Reeder]Carrie Reeder No fax payday loans can get you cash fast. By using an online lender,
you can compare rates, fees, and payment structures to find the best
cash advance loan lender. After you have found the best lender, you can
fill out your loan application online and receive confirmation in
minutes. Your cash will soon be sitting in your checking account, wired by
your lender. Before you start that application, ask these questions to help you
compare lenders. How Soon Will You See Your Fast Money? Fast cash is the most common claim of online payday loan lenders. But
the definition of fast can range from hours to days. With most lenders
you can check their website to find out how soon you can expect your
money. With many lenders, funds will be wired overnight once your application
has been approved. In some cases, funds are only processed during
business hours, so expect additional delays with these companies during
weekends and holidays. Also be prepared for unexpected delays in your application. Most no fax
payday lenders use databases to verify your information. If there is a
glitch, the information will have to be confirmed over the phone. What About Those Fees? Unlike other types of credit, cash advance loans charge a flat fee
rather than an interest rate. But cash advance lenders also post an annual
percentage rate (APR), which is required by federal law. The point of an APR is to help you compare the cost of different types
of credit. You can request this from lenders before applying or
sometimes find it on their website. The other way to compare costs is to ask about the actual fee amount
for the loan. This is also disclosed with the APR. Be sure to note if
there are any application or other fees included. When Is Payment Due? Online lenders will automatically withdraw your payment from your
account on your payday. Some lenders will only deduct the finance fee;
others will take the whole amount. Ideally, you want to pay the entire amount to save on future fees.
During your application process, you have the option of setting up your
payment structure. You can also make changes before your loan payment is
due. View our recommended lenders for [http://www.abcloanguide.com/nofaxpaydayloan.shtml]No Fax Payday Loan.
